This recipe is not designed to satisfy any specific dietary preferences.

The Super Bowl is right around the corner and we all know snacks are just as important as the commercials! πŸ˜‰ And the game too, obviously. This Chipotle Chili Dip is easy, quick and has a nice little spice kick. You can make it without the spice too if you prefer, but it really made this dip just out of this world delicious so keep it in if you and your guests can handle a little heat!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of your favorite chili (I used a Hormel can with no beans and one with beans)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 whole chipotle chili peppers in adobo sauce (3 if you want it extra spicy!)
  • 2 tsp maple syrup

Directions

  1. Add one can of chili and 2 whole chipotle peppers to a food processor and pulse a few times, just until the peppers break up. You want to make sure you don’t see big chunks of pepper. (You can pulse more but the chili will become more liquid-like and I liked it with a bit of texture.)
  2. Pour chili and pepper mixture into a medium saucepan, add the second can of chili, and cook on medium heat.
  3. Add maple syrup and cream cheese and cook, stirring occasionally until the cream cheese is melted and fully incorporated.
  4. Serve with chips and enjoy!
